Wanderers opened the league season in a tough match against Garioch of which Garioch won 31-5.

With a good home and away crowd, plus the opening of the Wombat’s bunker there was a great atmosphere at Groats Road.

With a try and several penalties early on, Garioch took a grip of the game. The only consolation from the game for Wanderers was a well worked try by Iain Lyndon (sponsored by Small Far Away Engineering).

Arran’s Ewens was Wanderers man of the match.
