Aberdeen Wanderers played Aberdeenshire as part of their 150th Anniversary celebrations on the 23rd of August 2025 at Woodside.

In a tough match Aberdeenshire won 68-19.

Congratulations to Joe Nealon, Jordon Thomson and Peter Cross on making their club debuts. Jamie Strachan made his senior club debut for Wanderers.

After the match the Aberdeenshire President Mike MacLugash presented our Captain Stuart Robson with a plaque to mark the historic occasion. Wanderers exchanged a club crest.

Thanks to our supporters who came down for the day and to the guys who played vets rugby earlier that day before pulling on a 1st team shirt after.

Congratulations to Aberdeenshire on the victory and the whole event. Wanderers were proud to be a big part of it from youth, vets and senior 1st team games.
