U14s win at Huntly

The game was played as development with Granite City lending Muntly players to play a 14 a side match, match was played in 3x20 minute intervals.

The first third saw some good attacking play with Sebastian Aitken and Leo Peerless trading tries throughout which gave Granite City an 18-0 advantage at the break, a couple of these tries came from back moves which was pleasing to see. In the 2nd period things were more competitive with Granite City scoring another 4 tries, but had to defend for long spells against a Muntly team that was showing a lot of spirit and were only stopped from scoring by some last ditch tackles. Have to mention Finlay Smeaton who made a great try saving tackle and managed to hold the ball up over the line.

By the time the 3rd period came along some of the focus had gone and things were a little scrappy for Granite City with Muntly able to score 2 tries, although the level of play dropped we were still able to score 5 tries with some great individual tries on show.
