First game of the Season

First game of the season for the S1/2s was hard going against a strong Deeside.

Aberdeen Wanderers S1/2s took 15 players along to Woodend pitches for the first friendly, yet competitive, game of the 2014/15 season. A well drilled Deeside dominated the first third by running in 7 tries.

During the second period of play Aberdeen Wanderers fought back with strong rucking and counter rucking which led to 3 tries being scored by both teams.

The third and last period of play started out evenly matched, but Aberdeen Wanderers soon lost direction and Deeside continued to push and scored 6 further tries.

It was a great first game of the season and a lot of areas to work on for the up and coming games.

Aberdeen Wanderers player of the match was awarded to Coll Mackillop.
