Pre Season friendly - reduced numbers

Development Match
Due to summer holidays Wanderers only had 8 x players, Ellon had 10
SRU rules require minimum of 12 x players for match to go ahead, as both teams were short "game on" philosophy was adopted and the match continued as a "development" match.
Played 4 x 10 min periods of 8-A-Side on large Saltire Pitch.
Hard work in the hot conditions.
Ellon were the more mobile side and with benefit of rolling subs ran in more tries, Wands however did manage to get 2 x scores of their own.
Craig unfortunately had to leave the field after a head knock, Ellon graciously then loaned 1 x player to allow 8 v 8 to continue.
All Wanderers lads put in strong individual performances with some good tackling, tenacity in defence to chase down attacking opposition and some quick reactions at the breakdown to win turnovers. However with limited 7's experience and a 5 : 3 forwards to back split it wasn't going to be Wanderers day.
