Wands U13 finish pre-season build up with a win

Grammar only had 11 players so Wanderers with a squad of 19 to choose from matched Grammars numbers to play 11 v 11.
Played as a friendly "development" match split into 3 x 15 min sessions.
Main focus of the day was to ensure all players got equal game time and to manage the match to ensure it was as competitive as possible so both teams (Grammar & Wands) got some meaningful practice ahead of upcoming conference matches.
Was great to see Wanderers squad including some new recruits getting their first run out in the Green and Blue.

1st Session Wanderers got off to a good start scoring 4 x tries, Fergus continuing his good run of form with 2, and a try each for Joshua and Flynn. 3 x successful conversions. End of first 15 mins score 15:0 to Wanderers

2nd Session team was shuffled to ensure everyone got some game time, Grammar proved stronger over this 15 minutes scoring 3 x converted unanswered tries. End of 2nd 15 minus score 15:12 to Wanderers.

3rd Session, team was then mixed around again for the final period with Wanderers scoring 2 x converted tries from Finley and Ruben scoring on his debut for the Wanderers U13 team. Grammar got a 4th converted try so final score was 22:16 to Wanderers.

Another good performance from a steadily improving U13 squad and good preparation ahead of the Caledonia Club Conference starting next week when Wanderers host Dundee on Sunday. Successful conversions during the match were kicked by Fergus (2), Keir (1), Aiden (1).
