Granite City U13s got off to a flying start scoring 2 tries in the first 10 minutes set up by some good attacking runs from the backs.
Gordonstoun replied with 3 tries and a single conversion to end the half up by 1 point.
The second half was well contested with Granite City U13s scoring 2 try’s and 1 conversion and Gordonstoun scoring 3 try’s and 2 conversion to end the game 13-18 winners.
A few “hurts” in the second half to Ishan, Andrew and Finlay resulted in shuffling the pack a couple of times.
Lots of positives today, and a big improvement on last week, I was happy to hear that most of the lads had read the starting structure put in place this week and occasionally implemented it today. When we get the ball out to the centres/back 3 we really start to look threatening.
A lot of good rucking today but we are still a bit high and slow to clear out.
Great that all the boys did the small things like filling water bottles, setting out flags, shirts etc...and most boys sat with our guests for the rolls and soup.
Well done on Gregor on giving the captains speech after the food and thanking Gordonstoun for the game.
Final score - 13-18
