Exciting news, Aberdeen Wanderers RFC are now officially recognised by The British & Irish Lions as a Lions Origin Club for our part in helping produce a Lion in Jason White.
Jason started his rugby at Aberdeen Wanderers RFC Youth section, before going on to win 77 caps for Scotland, 19 as Captain, and of course a call up to the Lions tour of New Zealand in 2005.
Commenting on the Lions Origin recognition, Jason White wrote:
"Delighted to see Aberdeen Wanderers Rugby Football Club given the credit here. A special mention from me to all the coaches who gave up their time to engage me as a 13 year old and make it fun. Calum Johnston, Frank Selbie, Uncle Bob Allison and I am sure a few i have missed out. A huge part of where I developed my love and passion for rugby."
