The team started the game well building some phases of play and working together.
During attack we were often guilty of passing the ball along the back line and not making any forward progress. But after some pointers some more direct running took place. The direct running was very successful and the support runners helped us keep the ball. Two very strong runs from Archie Lennox resulted in the two team tries. Brodie, Stewart and Malachi all made some very good runs that broke the gain line on more than one occasion.
Mackie were a little quicker and more committed to the breakdown and that resulted in a few turnovers and more possession for them to attack from.
Dylan Lennox took a very big hit (the Mackie player was subsequently warned) and left the field briefly for a sore shoulder but returned to play.
A big thank you to Andrew Shearer for taking the warm up and keeping the boys right during the game.

Thanks to Matt for arranging the team while Willie was playing golf in 25oC temperatures in Spain.
