Granite City opened the scoring when Johnny Cadden picked up from the back of the scrum and released Leo Peerless to score out wide, the try was converted by Matthew Deans to open a 7-0 lead. Gordonstoun had a long spell of pressure in our 22 with a continuous flow of penalties against us, eventually after 15 minutes Gordonstoun scored when they took a tap penalty to level the scores. From a Gordonstoun 22m restart the ball ended up in Sebastian Aitkens hands who broke through the middle of the field to score under the posts, then a late intercept try by Leo Peerless extended the half time lead to 21-7.
In the second half we had long spells of possession and spent most of the time in the Gordonstoun half. The pressure paid off after 38 minutes when Jack Williams powered over the line from close range, we had to wait until the 50th minute before we scored again when Leo Peerless completed his hattrick after the ball was shifted from one side to the other to score. Maks Pabich completed the scoring late on to give us a 36-7 victory, good to see Maks score a try after being so close in previous matches.
