Aberdeen Wanderers Primary 6 supporting Glasgow Warriors

Was a Great day out today, well done to all players who got to play against some unfamiliar opponents.

They came up against some very good opposition in Strathendrick, Garnock & Dumfries, who all had much larger squads but we weren't outclassed. We only had 8 players so no luxury of rotating subs to keep fresh legs on the pitch despite the last 2 x games being played back to back.
We unfortunately lost all 3 x games, but managed to score tries in the last 2 x matches and certainly weren't outclassed.
Was a useful run-out early in the season and there is definitely a few things to work on in training, but also some great skills and determination on show from all the boys.

Big Thanks to Finlays older brother Callum for a great job organising and running 2 x bus quizzes and helping keep the players occupied on the bus.
Guys all enjoyed the Warriors v Ulster pre season friendly match, Wanderers were part of the guard of honor to cheer the professional players onto the pitch for what was a very entertaining and close fought game with the lead changing regularly, but Glasgow managed to score 3 minutes from the end to claim victory 36 v 33.

The Wanderers players then all got a chance to get up close and personnel with the pro players after the match for some autographs and selfies, having to fight their way through the crowd of very keen female fans to get anywhere near Huw Jones!
