Wanderers U18's win close game against Ellon at The Meadows yesterday afternoon. Most of the scoring was in the first half with Ellon scoring first with Wands replying quickly. The Wands tries were scored with some excellent backs play after solid forwards work and dominant scrummaging. The first half ended with Wands ahead 10-17. The second half saw Ellon have most of the territory and possession, pressing hard. Ellon had the only score of the second half, an unconverted try. Wanderers had their opportunities but were unable to convert any possession into points. Looking back at the second half it was the periods of resolute defence and dominance at scrum time which prevented Ellon scoring more points and in the end securing victory for Wands.
