After some early pressure Dundee score a penalty and sneak a try. Wands then start to exert pressure and score a penalty. Dundee's persistent infringements slow down any Wands attacks (19 penalties by half time). Half time score is 8-3 to Dundee.

In the second half Wanderers continue to press for a score but are unable to finish off any opportunities. Dundee continue to infringe and Wands to score a penalty to bring the score to 8-6. Dundee have a player yellow carded but Wands are unable to take advantage of having an extra man. As the match is drawing to a close Dundee manage to break the Wands defensive line and score an unconverted try. There is little time left for Wands to come back and the match finishes with Dundee winners 13-6 and Wanderers receiving the runners-up plate.

Throughout the match the Wands defence was on the whole very good, we scrummaged well, competed well in all areas and kept excellent discipline throughout. Fine margins can make all the difference, and if some thing had gone just a little different the outcome may have been in our favour. The effort and commitment put in by the boys was excellent and they should be proud of their performance.
