Grampian Girls are ready for the National Cup

This weekend see the Grampian Girls Under 15s in action in their First Round Tie Match

Under 15s

The newly formed Grampian Girls Under 15s team travel to Glasgow on Sunday 12th March to play their 1st round match against Hillhead Jordonhill in the National Girls Club Cup. This squad have been training hard for this fixture after qualifying for the SRU competition on 19th February when then played in a round robin event against Caithness and Howe of Fife in Aberdeen.
The next round is the Quarter Finals and this will take place on Sunday 26th March.

Under 18s

The Grampian Girls Under 18s team got a BYE in the first-round draw, so they go straight into the quarter finals, again to be played on Sunday 26th March. However, the team will be travelling down to Glasgow for a friendly fixture against the Hillhead Jordonhill Under 18s girls on Sunday 12th March too.

Grampian Girls Rugby

Grampian Girls is made up of female players from Aberdeen Wanderers RFC, Angus Girls, Banff RFC, Deeside RFC, Ellon Rugby, Garioch RFC and Huntly RFC to form teams at both Under-15 and Under-18.

The girls meet up regularly for joint training sessions at the Aberdeen Sports Village as well as train at their own clubs. These Grampian Girls Hub sessions, are open to existing players and new players that are interested in rugby and the next session is on Wednesday 15th March 2017 between 7:00 and 9:00pm at the ASV.
