Today at Groats Road, both Aberdeen Wanderers and Deeside RFC celebrated winning the Club Youth Red Conference League by receiving the pennant and certificate. Both clubs combined to create a single entry into the newly formed SRU youth conference structure at the beginning of the 2015/16 season which allowed boys from S1 to U18 to play competitive league games from September to December 2015.

The conference saw great games of rugby between the involved clubs (Aberdeen Rugby, Deeside Wanderers, Ellon, Gordonstoun Mackie and Perthshire) at all levels during the tail end of last year, which involved more than 600 boys. It came down to the final weekend to decide the overall conference winners, when Deeside Wanderers were given the win. Details on the final standings can be found here
