Saturday the 20th of August marked the beginning of a brand new season at Aberdeen Wanderers RFC with the registration day for the youth section. Everyone came along, from the micros to the Under 18’s, to re-register and have some rugby fun!

It was perfect weather for a rugby morning. Training began at 10:00 and after an hour or so we finished off with some rugby-themed fun and games. As well as existing members, many new faces of all ages came along to sign up for training, and it looks like we have an exciting season ahead.

Parents enjoyed the new spectators' area and new signs and sponsorship boards were put up around the club. Training was followed by a barbecue and everyone enjoyed a burger.

“Our club is just growing and growing at the moment and it’s excellent to see so many new and returning players come to Aberdeen Wanderers” said Guy Mullinor, Youth section President, “our club is an all-inclusive place for rugby in and around the city and days like today, when we see all the youth groups together, really makes it special”
