Location: Groats Rd, KO time: 2pm
This weekend sees the Aberdeen Wanderers seniors playing their annual end of season game as the Scottish lads take on those of lesser nations. The rest of the world team this year is comprised of a mob amalgamated from 11 different nations – New comer to the squad Mario Suarez with a Bolivian / Swedish heritage is possibly the highlight of the team; and hopes to make an impact on the ROW team’s wing.
1st XV Captain Jake Watt added in the lead up to the game “It’s always a great fun day; you get to play your [foreign] mates, test yourself against them then buy them a beer afterwards. However in all seriousness it shows Wanderers true spirit; having 11 different nations represented gives prominence to our inclusiveness and welcoming nature. It really shows what we are all about. The Scots have stolen it the past few years but the ROW is looking good and I’m looking forward to a hard game.”
The Game Kicks off at 2pm at Groats road, as always everyone is welcome to come join in the fun.
